The Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences (RBINS), consortium partner of Pharos recently participated in the 2025 All-Atlantic Ocean Research & Innovation Alliance Forum, held from 25 to 26 September in Brussels. Hosted at the Charlemagne building under the auspices of the European Union and OKEANO CSA, the event gathered partners and stakeholders across the Atlantic to advance trans-Atlantic cooperation in ocean science and innovation.

The Forum also launched two new initiatives: the All-Atlantic Network of Coastal Resilience Beacon Sitesand the Blue Intergenerational Programme, aimed at strengthening local pilot actions and fostering generational knowledge exchange across the Atlantic.

With around 400 participants including scientists, policymakers, and ocean actors, the Forum set priorities for the upcoming period and reinforced its commitment to sustainable blue transition via ocean science diplomacy.
